Our discussion will focus on preparing you to meet your baby at delivery. We will discuss the benefits of skin-to-skin, what to expect in the first few hours after delivery as it pertains to your newborn. Discuss how to optimize your breastfeeding relationship if you choose to have one. What kind of monitoring or interventions to expect for a newborn. As well as touch on what you should have prepared in order to bring your baby home. The goal of this discussion is to allow you to walk into your delivery having a comfortable understanding of what to expect for your child. You will also be asked to fill out a short questionnaire prior to your session to ensure that it can be tailored to your specific interests and needs.

55 minute individual virtual session
During this session we will be discussing your newborn in their first few days to weeks. We will cover care and guidance for infants in their first month of life. Do you wonder what to expect from your first pediatrician visit? How do you know if your baby is eating enough? Are they warm enough or is it too cold for them? When do you start bath time and how should you do it? How often should you be sterilizing bottles or pacifiers; is it even necessary? So many questions that many take for granted are amongst the most common concerns for new parents. We will dive into the day to day basic newborn care guidance for your new infant. You will also be asked to fill out a short questionnaire prior to your session to ensure that it can be tailored to your specific interests and needs.

75 minute group virtual session
A maximum of 5 registrants per group consultation session
During this session we will discuss the expectations for your newborn immediately after delivery. We will cover topics such as skin-to-skin, initiation of breastfeeding if desired, common medical practices you can expect for your infant in the initial hours after delivery and the must have items to be ready to bring your baby home. We will end with some Q&A time for all participants.

30 minute virtual session guided by your concerns and questions
This 30 minute session is a great way to address any new or specific questions you may have. You’re delivering in a Baby Friendly Hospital; what does that mean for your infant? Do infants born to mothers with diabetes receive any additional care after delivery? Your baby keeps spitting out their pacifier in their sleep, should you be putting it back? You have unexpected travel needs, can or should your baby come with you and if so what should you consider. No question is too big or small for peace of mind.

15 minute virtual session
Let’s get to know one another over a quick chat. This is a complimentary 15 minute meet and greet where you have the opportunity to get to know a little about me, my passion for parental support and education, and we can decide if my services meet your needs. Please keep in mind that I will not be providing any counseling or guidance during this session.
